Longhand is a free writing app, a small literary journal, and a book club. It's for people who care how a sentence sounds, and who'd like some company while they work on theirs.

Longhand opens to a blank page and nothing else. The buttons fade while you type. Quotes curl, dashes lengthen, and your work is saved as you go, as Rich Text files you can open in Word, Pages or Scrivener.
It works without the internet once installed, and it never asks you to sign in. Nothing you write leaves your computer.

Our first issue. We're looking for poems, short fiction and essays that sound like a person wrote them: specific, unhurried, and a little strange in the way people are.
